Child abuse is 100% preventable but education and awareness are the keys to stopping this horrific epidemic.  The ACE Study documents the lifelong negative effects that child abuse has on people's health- including everything from high blood pressure to cancer and even premature death.

The CAC provides community education and awareness on child abuse issues and the services the CAC provides to the community. CAC staff can speak on any number of issues involving child abuse including “Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse” which is a great training designed to teach adults how to recognize child abuse and what happens when they report it.

Internet safety and "sexting" are also popular topics and we can help teach parents and kids how to safely enjoy the internet.

The CAC also provides unique opportunities for community members to see an inside look at the CAC and the services we provide by offering Lunch & Learns.  Give us your lunch hour and we'll provide you with a great meal, some education on child abuse and you'll be able to take a tour of our beautiful facility.  Contact us if you are interested in signing up for our next Lunch & Learn!

The CAC  is happy to provide information to community agencies, churches and groups. Please contact the CAC if you are interested in scheduling a speaker.
